Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 May 2026. This notice describes how Sperring Software Consulting LTD ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use sperring.software (the "Site").
Who we are
The data controller is Sperring Software Consulting LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. The Site is operated for our consultancy business. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
What personal data we collect
Information you give us. If you use the contact or enquiry form, we collect the fields you submit. Required fields are name, email address, and a short description of your delivery context. Optional fields may include company name, your role, company website, engineering team size, what you have already tried, urgency, and the type of engagement you are considering.
Scheduling links. The Site links to Calendly for booking calls. If you follow that link, Calendly's own privacy notice applies to information you provide there.
Technical and usage data. Our hosting infrastructure may process standard server or edge logs (for example IP address, request metadata, and timestamps) when you load pages or call Site APIs. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and navigation on the Site (for example page views and events we configure in code). Google may set or read cookies or similar technologies and receive technical identifiers in line with Google's documentation.
How we use personal data and why
- To read and respond to enquiries you send via the Site (performance of a request from you and our legitimate interests in operating the business).
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including diagnostics and abuse prevention (legitimate interests).
- To measure aggregate Site usage with Google Analytics (legitimate interests in understanding how the Site is used; where local law requires consent for certain analytics technologies, we rely on your consent as indicated through applicable controls or browser settings).
- To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations where these apply.
How enquiries are delivered
When you submit the contact form, the Site sends the contents to us through an API hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. We transmit the message to our inbox using Resend, an email delivery provider. Those providers process the data as processors in order to deliver the service.
Sharing and processors
We share personal data with service providers only as needed to run the Site:
- Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting, edge functions, and related security and delivery services.
- Resend, Inc. to send enquiry emails to our team.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics) for aggregated usage statistics.
Each provider has its own privacy documentation. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making about you in a legally significant sense.
International transfers
We are based in the UK. Some processors may process data in the United States or other countries. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU Commission standard contractual clauses, the UK international data transfer agreement, or other mechanisms recognised by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, as implemented by our vendors.
Retention
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to respond, follow up professionally, and maintain ordinary business records, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained according to Google's settings for our property. Server or edge logs on infrastructure providers are retained per those providers' default or configured periods.
Security
We use reputable hosting and email providers and limit access to enquiry content to people who need it for the business. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
To exercise rights related to an enquiry, email [email protected] from the address you used on the form, or describe the request clearly enough for us to locate it.
Children
The Site is aimed at businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this notice
We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.
